buzzing/scraping noise from engine bay at 2300-2500 RPM's 200 1990

Hello,

I have a 1990 240 Sedan with about 130,000 miles and recently, when I get to 2300 rpms something from the engine starts buzzing and it stops buzzing after 2500 RPMS. It happens when speeding up or slowing down and it happens whenever I am between 2300 and 2500 rpms in all gears. It almost sounds like a bike with a playing card flapping against the spokes. I thought maybe the fan blades were hitting the shroud but I can't see any scraping or damage to either of them. Any suggestions?
