79 244GL K-jet not starting after storage 200 1979

I’ve got a late 79 244GL (K-Jet) that has been sitting idle for approximately 12 months.

I finally got some time recently and replaced a weeping water pump, radiator clean, replaced some vacuum hoses etc and got some fresh fuel in the tank.

When I tried to restart the car it would crank away with no sign of starting.

I then replaced the spark plugs, distributor cap & rotor, and ignition leads as a precaution. Still no success (plenty of healthy spark though ), so after more cranking I pulled out a spark plug to check if there was fuel coming through. Couldn’t smell a thing on the plug.

After reading though some posts here on Brickboard I then removed the fuel pump relay and jumped the terminals - both fuel pumps seemed to be operating OK, the main pump is a bit noisy since the intank pump was replaced a couple of years ago, but it still works. So after this test I assumed from what I'd read that the fuel pump relay was probably at fault. I got a replacement last night and fitted it, but still no success.

I’d like some suggestions on where to check next? I’ve consulted the Haynes manual but they talk about testing the cold start injector and thermo time switch but I have my doubts about this. The car lives garaged in a fairly warm environment.

I'm hoping someone can help here.
