mangled strut assembly 200 1993

I used penetrating fluid and 2-18" pipe wrenches with 4'of steel tubing as handle extensions. After I stripped the gland nut I applied heat (not enough, I need a real torch) and butchered things up with cold chisels and drill bits and hacksaws - didn't work out the way I had hoped.

I used the strut off a 91 wo/ ABS - will keep my eyes peeled for an ABS strut for the future.

The new Sachs Advantage strut inserts make a radical difference in the stability and handling of the car.
