The Low Spark of Four-Wheeled Toys... 120-130 1967

I put in new brushes last year and at 2,000RPM or so it runs the voltage reading at the battery up 4 or more volts.

It increases the voltage at the battery 4 volts? Shouldn't do that... Static battery voltage is normally about 12.8 V, and you might get as high as 14 V from the generator when charging, an increase of 1.2 V. Anything more than that is trouble.

The amp light typically does glow dimly with everything on, particularly the blower motor. It's due to minor resistance in the electrical system, sometimes at the fuse block, sometimes not. It doesn't mean anything much.
