Dome light 700 1990

Be careful when removing the dome light from the car. The headliner board is fragile, and if broken, there is no good way to reattach the dome light.

Check all 4 of the switches in the door jambs. Each one is held on with a single torx head screw. Unscrew it. Carefully pull the switch out. There should be a wire (probably black) plugged on to the terminal. If there is a wire, unplug it, plug it back on, to clean the connection. If there is not a wire, you have found your problem. The wire has fallen off, and is grounding out down inside the door jamb. The hard part is fishing it back up so you can reconnect it to the switch. Spraying everything with WD40 or similar before putting it back together is a good idea. There should be a rubber boot on each switch to seal out moisture.
