Christmas shopping for others = Volvo Stuff for me.... 1800

So I was down in a part of town I rarely go. Nothing wrong with it jut no reason to be out there. I stopped into a store to get something for an Xmas present. When I come out and pile into my 122, a guy pulls up next to me and motions for me to roll down the window. He wants to know if I have other old Volvos. I say yes, thinking he is looking for parts for his. Well it turns out that he had an 1800 years before that was totalled. He still has the Volvo service manuals for it and wants to know if I want it. We talk about it a bit more. Well I stopped by his place yesterday afternoon. All car parts are long gone but he has not one but two of the blue Volvo binders filled with the green booklets that the dealers were issued. They look to be in pretty good shape and he wanted next to nothing for them. He got some cash and I got the two binders with contents, both of us happy. I need to go through them and see what is there since they are all out of order...

I guess you can get lucky everyonce in a while....

Merry Chirstmas to all.

Chris
