' 85 244 dl bulb out idiot dash light on 200 1985

Replaced a broken low beam healight with a long life/extended vision halogen light; other light (not replaced) is a regular halogen light ..... lights work/ bulb out indicator still on.
I cleaned the non replaced healight connections & fuses thinking uneven voltage draw because of the long life/extended vision new light (thicker element perhap's)& disconnected the battery neg cable for 5 minutes ..... idiot light still on ...... what'd I miss?
Or do I need to replace the other headlight as well to balance the current draw?

thx in advance
