Clarification... 200 1989

I think I mentioned it in the original posting: I am replacing my 240's ball joints.

The ball joint does attach to the control arm with three bolts. The "joint" part of it gets pressed into a 2"x2" piece called the "lower strut anchor" or "ball joint carrier" as I've read it referred to elsewhere. A self locking nut goes on top of the threaded part of the joint attaching it to this piece. Four bolts then attach the whole deal to the bottom of the strut tube.

No, it has nothing to do with the upper strut mounts which I am also replacing and was a second (but unrelated to the above) question of mine. I was curious if anyone had good or bad luck with any type of upper strut mount. That was more or less answered by Yama, but please contribute or add to his comment.

THE CRUX: Where and if these four bolts... or, the bolts along with the strut anchor/carrier piece are available from a dealer and what part number it is...that's the ongoing dilemma.
