Brake Caliper Rebuild Kits 900

I'm thinking of buying brake caliper rebuild kits for my '93 944T.
Are these worth the $25 each and has anybody done this type of repair.
I flushed and replaced front rotors, all my pads and a new master-cylinder about 6000 miles ago, in the hopes that I would have a less spongie feel to my brake pedal to no avail.
The car brakes fine but you have to press it allmost down to the floor. It is fine for me but other family members think it won't brake. This is especially noticeable after driving the Mini which brakes very well.
Is it worth doing the caliper kit replacement or should I go with rebuilt calipers for $100 each?
