Greasing the PV 444-544

The main problems I've come across when greasing are exactly what you describe. Each time I've found that the ball valve was stuck or rusted in place.

For my money, replacing the fitting is the easiest and best fix.

You'd think that having grease injected through them, they'd be rust-proof.

Certainly, you may be able to pop the ball loose, but if you gouge the ball, you'll end up replacing it anyway.

I wonder if there's a rubber nipple cap we could put on to keep the water out?

Maybe some vacuum caps?

Steve
