Head Rebuild

Thanks that pretty much sums it up. I already have the Elring gasket set. By the way it is a b230ft with a blown head gasket at 166k. The valve spring compressor and torque wrench are on order, and should be here on Wednesday. All the head bolts are broken loose(they weren’t as bad as some people have had to deal with) and I’m going to pull it today. I’m sure that there will be some other parts that I am going to need to order like shims and possibly springs. I am taking pictures of the process, and am going to do a write up. I pretty much know what I’m doing, but I have never done it before. Hopefully it will turn out good and I will email it to Jarrod. Maybe its just the pre-schooler in me but seeing a procedure before I do it makes me feel much more confident of being able to do it.
