Stromberg to Weber Conversion 140-160

I wouldn't recommend the Weber DGAV; you would be better off selling the carb and manifold and getting a pair of SU HIF6 or HS6's in good condition, or having the throttle shaft and bushings replaced on a worn pair.

I have had two cars with the Weber DGAV; and the Weber and manifold from my current car are sitting in a box waiting for me to put them on ebay. Yes, the Weber works better than a badly worn set of SU's; no, it doesn't work better than a set of SU's in good condition, either from a driveability, economy, or performance standpoint. The electric choke Weber's suck particularly badly; BTW.
