Pass Door Lock Problems 200 1992

Lock motor was sluggish and eventually quit. It locked-up so it inhibited manual locking/unlocking.
Removed lock motor yesterday and dissassembled it. Motor was covered with rust and seized-up. PB Blaster and a whack with a brass hammer on the shaft got it turning.
Turns freely with 12V power source. I cleaned up the disk(thermistor?) with scotch-brite. Works great in one direction, but not the other.
Any ideas? (motor runs fine in either direction)
Also, I need to tear it all apart since I installed the plunger upside-down and it works opposite the others.
Could the contacts against the thermistor be bad? I may take it out of the circuit and see what happens.
