740 steering, tight only when turning right 700 1992

Hi guys, first post here. Just picked up a 92 740 wagon. It's in great shape at 130,000 miles. I noticed the steering is very tight when turning the wheel right (clockwise). I can turn the wheel left (while moving or standstill) and it is firm but smooth (not too much force needed). At any point when I change and start turning back to the right, it becomes tight.

I checked fluid level (while car was cold and off) and it was at max level. WD40'd and greased the u-joints. any pointers?

sorry if this is posted multiple times.. I'll delete the extras
