Definitely worth checking the manifold and throttle body gaskets, as well as the injector seals. They certainly have potential to leak. Though an injector seal would have to be really bad to cause that.

As for the 1-1-3 injector code, it tends to be a bit of a red herring. These FI computers are pretty smart in some ways, but not so much in others: whenever there's a significant mixture problem, the computer often "blames" the injectors... even though the ECU doesn't really have enough information (such as fuel rail pressure) to pinpoint the problem.

I had a very similar problem in my 1990 245, had a 1-1-3 and a 2-3-2 (I think!). A sudden onset of very high idle (1000-1500 rpm). I found a hole in the intake hose, but that obviously been there for a long time, so it didn't explain the high idle. After replacing the intake hose, the AMM proved to be the culprit. Even though there wasn't an AMM code.
