Fixed by Installing Original Dizzy... What about my milage? Which replacement Unit? 120-130

The Allison units are pretty much the same thing as the newer Crane units, I think Crane bought out Allison. I've been using an old Allison unit for years on the PV, I've never had to give it a minute's worth of attention in that whole time since setting it up initially.

I think I have a spare Allison box sitting around somewhere, deep down I always sort of half expected this thing would be a PITA, but it's done nothing but work perfectly the whole time. If you need a new box I could probably part with that one fairly easily.

I'd stick a test light on the LT circuit, see if the problem is with the coil (overheated, burnt up?) or with the ignition unit.
