HELP!! Friend is locked out of her '96 960 wagon. Last key gone, & no key code!

The car is a 960 so it has the later style, funky laser cut keys that not all dealerships are up to cutting. You need to give the dealership in question a call and let them know what your deal is and see what they can do for you. It would suck to drive for an hour to find out that they can order you one from Sweden and it will be here in a week! I do not know about your area dealers but I run my own Volvo repair shop and when I need a key I simply call up the parts department, tell them that it is Mark from Swedish Independent and that I need a key cut from the code, provide them with the correct VIN and it is a done deal. You might want to see if there is a local Volvo independent that can provide the same service. Just a run of the mill regular key costs about $30.00 here, $8 for the key and $20 for the cutting service, highway robbery if you ask me.

Mark
