Help with non-start when engine is hot 700 1990

Hi Guys:
This is a recurrent problem with my 90 740 GLE 16 valve: After the car is driven for an hour or so if I shut off the engine a lot of times the car will not start until it cools off for 30/45 min.It just happened this evening after driving for 30 min!I had to wait 25 min to restart .
I have changed the ignition switch, the alternator, the battery and the TWICE the Starter in a span of 1 year.
The alternator and battery are fine. Two weeks ago after the second change of the starter the problem came back and my mechanic started the car with a jumpwire and tightened a wire connector going to the starter or solenoid. But the problem is not solved as it happened again tonight... The funny thing is that I drove back home a similar distance and after I shut off the car it started!!!
I really dont know what to do anymore or what to tell the mechanic.I'm considering getting rid of the car (200K miles)as the problem has been present for over a year and thru 2 different mechanics.
Does anybody have any ideas? Tks
