740 restoration - seats and rust

Greetings,

Here is a seat trick I learned from an upholstery guy. Remove seat cushions and cut a piece of HEAVY material, astroturf is what I have used, the size of foam and place between foam and seat grid.

This firms up seat and stops the grid from cutting into the foam, most likely s where your "debris" is coming from.

I find that this works very well and if your seats are otherwise in good shape, this trick will help slow the breaking down of the seat foam.

Hope this helps,rcs
