I love rally racing and I think it's a crying shame that the world political situation has deteriorated so much further, that this historic race has been cancelled.

I've been reading about the race virtually my entire life, reading my dad's Road & Track magazines. 30 year history and now, finally, we have decided that it's simply too risky to attempt to traverse this part of the world. Amazing.

To think that not so many years ago we could have hoped for a more peaceful world. Very sad.
