Do I need to install spacers under my strut inserts(shocks)? 200 1993

Take an impact gun and shoot down the big 15/16" nut on the top of the strut gutentight. Check gland nuts for tightness (I use a big two-foot pipe wrench on these).

Also, I have a theory that the rear control arm bushings (big ones) can be stressed somewhat during strut installation/removal (i.e. when standing on the A-arm to swing the strut out from under the fender) and the rubber may fail if already on the way out. Check those. Usually that is a noticable clunk felt through the floorboard.

New swaybar links will also eliminate many annoying rattles.
