Power seat moves by itself! Why? (1990 780) 700

I thought I fixed my '90 780 driver's side power seat by taking the switches apart and giving everything a good clean & spray with DeOxit. All controls worked great for a few months.

However, just now as I was happily driving along, the seat moved all the way forward WITHOUT ME TOUCHING ANYTHING (other than non-electrical car controls). Now, since this is a 780, am I correct in believing this can happen in two ways:

1) the move-forward switch is broken.
2) there is an issue with the automatic move-forward mechanism for rear access.

Any suggestions as to how I might clarify this issue?
