Hi everyone, it's been a while since I've been here. The tailgate outside release on my wife's 965 is broken. There is nothing else wrong with the mechanism and we can still open it from the inside. I asked the Volvo parts man about a hand release and he told me the the whole latch assembly, including the outside trim, comes as one unit. Surely that is not the case and it can be repaired simply with only the black plastic handle. Any ideas?
