One other problem I'm having - the Volvo stock radio works when it wants to - seems like when it warms up or something it decides to quit, but not consistent. What is consistent is the mode of inoperability - it's as if it goes into random station-hunting-mode without stopping, roaming the airwaves at random, landing on nothing - oh, and the display goes out while it's doing this.

Any ideas? I've got it out of the car now so I can have a look, but I don't see anyhthing obvious.

We paid $750 and got a great deal! Interior's only real problems were cracked dash, busted console housing, and dog hair (and dander-smell) everywhere!
