240 transmission swap 200

Should be pretty direct. One thing to note are the crossmembers for the tranny mount and the gear shift linkage of the transmissions. Those will most likely be different, but can easily be swapped from the the tranny on the 240 to the tranny on the 740. I agree, you will want to check the models of the transmissions.

Getting the tranny out is fairly simple, and don't worry, you can be a little rough with it. Just don't forget that you have to get the torque converter bolts as well as the bell-housing bolts before you pull each tranny.
