Do I need the Radio Suppression Relay? 900 1994

Okay I have a 94' 945 that was struggling/stalling under load. After reading a bit I tested the Radio Suppression Relay by bypassing it via jumper, and it ran perfectly after doing that.

Naturally I'm going to replace the relay (I'd repair it but I didn't see anything wrong with the relay). My main question is can I operate the vehicle with the RSR bypassed until then without doing any harm? Is the RSR just to eliminate noise transmitted to the radio or does it actually effect the fuel system?

Thanks in advance!
