I finally figured out what is wrong Now I just need to know how to fix it!

My 89 760 with new head, distributor, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, coil, fpr, hoses, water pump& thermostat (I think that’s it)

I was having problems timing it and I failed emissions twice was running real rich even running on almost pure alcohol. One of the PO’s or their mechanic put in the wrong mass air flow. I don’t even know what the hell its for # ends in 028

Now that I know what the problem is how do adjust it so I’m definitely lean enough to pass CT emissions with limit of .70 CO

Basically I need to know which direction is rich and lean

From what I have read that’s what the adjustment screw does, controls mixture. Help is greatly appreciated I only have one day left on my temp plates!!!
