Where are the SRS crash sensors located on a 1990 740 GL? 700

Hi,

My SRS light came on yesterday for no apparent reason.

When I retrieve the codes, the light flashes one time. FAQ says bad sensor. Tried resetting it. The light came back on after about 10 minutes. Did this twice, same result. Odds are good something is genuinely wrong.

Is there more than one sensor? Where are they located? I'm hoping that cleaning the contacts/checking the wiring may unearth (no pun intended) the problem.

Also: if it takes me a few days to track down the fault, what are the odds of the bag deploying unexpectedly for no reason?

What do these sensors cost?

This old car is kind of wearing me out... every few days, something lets go... I just fixed the speedometer wiring.. now the SRS light is on... sigh.

thanks...

Thaddeus
