sunroof leak 700 1988

I have an 88 745 gle with an electric motor.

I had leaking issues due to roof not fully flush with the roof.

I realize it's not supposed to be water tight seal.

Water comes out of the motor area and down from the head liner on both sides dripping on seats.

I cleaned and flushed front and back drain holes with wire and water ...pulling the tubes in the wheel well storage area and snaking it out.

Water flowed freely out of drain holes. I thought I was golden.

NOT as soon as I drove around a little water started dripping into the cabin again.

looks like water is some how getting from sun roof pan drain wells under to head liner .

What's my solution?
