PROBLEM SOLVED ( I THINK ) 700

Thanks to the great advice here I think I resolved the problem. Removed foot panel to left of drivers feet(which by the way came off easily - no problem). While looking at rubber(?) seal just behind panel I had an assistant pour 2x buckets of water down cowl. A minute later there was water dribbling from seal. I heavily caulked all around seal. Tommorrow after caulking is dry I will test. Left foot panel off so as can see if this caulking solved problem. I am 99% sure that this leaking seal was cause of my problem. Thanks again to all for your great advice & help.
