PROBLEM SOLVED ( I THINK ) 700

Problem was not grommits on firewall by brake booster. I checked and that area was fine. The leak was the seal(I think it is a rubber insert) that seals off hole that in some models goes to air vent in foot panel to left of drivers feet. In my case my vent is not used/functional so hence Volvo sealed that hole. Unfortunately although seal looked fine when I poured water thru cowl water did come out thru seal. So I heavily caulked up all around the seal. I did not remove seal. Left it be. Pretty easy job : Remove foot panel which came off easily and seal is right there behind the foot panel. Caulk it up good. Done. As I want caulking to dry well(just did this job this afternoon)I am waiting until tommorrow and then I will pour water thru cowl & check that there is no longer a leak. If I get a chance I will take a foto & post.
