AMMs: any backwards compatibility? 200

Hi all,

I've found a very nice '84 stick wagon w/160K on it. It's not running, and I'm fairly sure it's the AMM (it goes into limp-home mode when the AMM is unplugged).

I need a 002 AMM, but all I can find at the local pick and pull yards is an 007. Is there any backwards compatibility? I want to get a cheap one; then, if it fixes the problem, I'll buy a rebuilt and relegate the other to a spare.
