Hello again! Between a very busy work schedule and weather that has not been conducive to doing any serious work on the car, I haven't been particularly active for the past 5 months or so. But the weather is starting to clear up and I'm doing my best to schedule time for working on the Volvo, so hopefully I will be a bit more active as spring and summer approach. Unfortunately, I've stumbled upon an obstacle in continuing work on the car and I need to find a new source for Volvo parts.
It seems that Joe was quite upset with my post last year--found here--when I expressed my concerns with the rear springs that I received from Swedish Treasures, and so he is no longer interested in selling me parts. Although I feel that I had every right to seek a "second opinion" before simply accepting the issues to be trivial, I can see where the wording that I used in the title of my thread could be cause for concern to Joe and I understand why he might be reluctant to continue doing business with me. I am sorry about any damage that I may have inadvertently caused his reputation and I am also very disappointed that he feels we can no longer do business, so this is certainly a strong lesson for me to be more delicate when choosing my words in the future.
However, I find that despite proverbially shooting myself in the foot, I am still in no less need for parts. I will probably attempt to deal more with Olof at Vintage Import Parts (whom I have had pretty good experience with a few times in the past), but I figured that now would be a good time to ask if anyone had any additional suggestions regarding sources for new replacement vintage Volvo parts? Is there anyone beyond Joe and Olof that you would recommend?
