Hall Effect Sensor 200 1986

No spark out of the coil - using spark tester at distributor end of coil wire.
Not sure if my distributor timing is correct, I believe so. Shouldn't I see a spark anyway with the tester?
A - 12 VDC
B - 5.1 VDC
C - less than 1 ohm to ground
All three wires checked to ground with the connectors disconnected at high resistance scale showed no shorts to ground.
I'm in trouble of having to get rid of this car if I can't fix it soon.
Thanks, Cliff
