Need some help- set screw and link pin on M47 shifter completely siezed. 200

My shifter bushings on my '92 wagon disintegrated. I figured it would be an easy fix, until I found out that the 4mm allen set screw on the link was rusted and rounded out. No problem- I figured I'd drill it out. Took a little longer than expected, but I drilled it out. I have another shifter rod so there's no need to reuse the old one. The only problem is that the link pin (which normally slides right out) is siezed to the shift rod as well. I can't get it out- tried PB blaster, heat, bigger and bigger hammers. Its still in there. Worked on this for like 4 hours tonight and finally gave up. I'm debating cutting the damn thing with a sawzall. Is this a viable option, or am I missing something?

Finishing my beer and going to bed. Hope someone has a better plan than mine. Thanks in advance.
