Removing headrests 240 seat conversion 120-130

A while ago I aquired the interior out of a black leather 1988ish 240, I would like to put the front seats in my Amazon but the headrests look completely out of place, how do I remove these? will more period units from 60's car fit? Any tips on fitting the seats, I want to be able to reinstall teh Amazon seats easily, I have some 140 seat frames and headrest etc.
Also posted on 240
Thanks
Hans
