I recently posted a problem with the OD on my just took over 1991 940 SE Turbo which was solved by replacing the Solenoid switch with one I pulled from 1994 940 from salvage yard. Also at the same time I decided changing the Alternator bushings (due to slipping belt)and nonoxidizing the connectors at the Air Flow and Air filter housing and few other connectors in the Engine compartment. What I forgot to do was that I didn't disconnect the Battery. After I was done, the Check Engine light was on and no more Keyless Entry.
I Disconnected the Battery and reconnected it and that solved the Check Engine light problem, but my After Market Remote does not respond and is inoperative. I have checked all fuses and the all check good. It seems that somehow the remote has lost transmission with the central locking. Also all door used to lock when I got into the car and started the engine, but now it doesnt work. What could be the problem? Any advise or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
