M46 manual transmission leak 200 1986

I recently noticed that my 86 240 was leaking oil and after a visual inspection saw that my 5 speed manual was leaking. The weather finially warmed up today and I put her up on jackstands and looked at the tranny and checked the oil. It was down about a quart. I am surprised that the overdrive was still working but it was. The leak is comong from the rear 1/3 of the tranny. At first it appeared that it was coming from the plate with 4 bolts that houses the screen near the rear of the trans, there are droplets on those bolts. But on further inspection, it looks as if the whole overdrive is wet. Perhaps it is the gasket for the screen and leaking oil somehow is able to soak the rest of the casing while moving???
Any thoughts on what my problem may be?
