Changing Transmissions Questions on Torque Convertor 200 1985

The transmission in the old girl is finaly going dead slowly every mile.It's is wanting to start off in second sometimes and is starting to leak front to rear.I have another transmission put up that is ready to go.I would like to know about stall speeds on torque convertors.I could use the convertor that is with this transmission are I have a convertor for a AW71 that came out of a 700 turbo.My question is the turbo convertor going to give me more take off power are is it going to hurt me.I read somewhere that the two convertors have different stall speeds,Is this true are is it possible they are the same.
