Saloon and earths = you're British.
I'm used to lousy writing from my fellow Americans but I expect some sentences and periods from across the pond. You may notice that without starts and ends for sentences it can be very hard to read what's written.

That said, there's a good chance you need a voltage regulator as Rico mentioned. There's one voltage regulator on the car, installed in the back side of alternator. It contains two brushes. The easy way is to just buy the regulator and swap it into the alt. Be sure to remove the battery ground (oops, 'earth') cable before starting and hook it up again when done. You can do it with the alt in the car which is a good thing.

no periods version for those who prefer to read that way

Could you really read that i dont think so but somehow many do why do people get so cheap with a few finger strokes if i mumble when speaking you cant understand and that would be disrespectful to the listener this seems to be pretty much the same at least from my view
