Wiper speeds and Brake failure light 200 1982

Thought I would pick some brains again...

I just replaced the engine wiring harness, water pump, and all belts, for my 1982 Volvo 240 GL (4-speed manual, w/ push button overdrive).

I now have a brake failure light indicator. Plenty of pedal, less than 8k on the pads??? I can't find any leaks anywhere...

My wipers now only work one speed no matter were I place the hand control? Weird....

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
