power steering pump out of alignment. 700 1991

Hi Everyone, Got under the car today. Its about 95% fixed. It is aligned enough to not have the belt squeek anymore. The mounting holes in the lower bracket were worn and so I "cheaped" out and shimmed the holes for the pivoting bolt with left over stainless steel shim stock from a previous project. The thru bolt now fits very snug. There are two mounting "ears" that the bolt also fits through. There was a noticable play even with those and to help me true the alignment I used a jack under the pump then tightened very well. Time will tell. The FAQs address this problem with the volvo part no. for the mounting bracket. I didnt bother calling the dealer on this one. Regards...Paul
