Fuel Door Hinge 700 1987

Hi folks,

I just blissfully ordered a new fuel door hinge and spring from FCP Groton for under $25. But - not having a Haynes manual yet (it's on the list!) - I don't know how to attach the replacement parts to the inside of the fuel door hatch.

The fuel door is held on by velcro at the moment - the previous owner did it - and I can see and understand how the door would fit on the hinge, but it seems like I would need to open up the trunk lining near the antenna in order to remove the old hinge and attach the new one.

My car is a 740GLE sedan. Any tips/instructions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Ari
