Without knowing more of what you did, I think you might want to try cleaning your thottle body first. See the 700-900 FAQ. Also check your airbox temperature sensor to see if it works properly (probably not).

Make sure all of your spark plug cables are good too.

Look for broken and cracked vacuum hoses, happens all the time.
