Daytime running lights 95 945T 900

I have a new wagon that was by dad's. I have all the service records and it seems that every month a light burns out because of the DRL.
Went to the junkyard and checked out headlight switches but they all look the same.
I want to turn off these daytime running lights. Is there a wire that needs to be cut from the ignition switch to the headlight switch?
Anyone here know the fix?
