new engine... mixture? plug heat value? 120-130

If it is too lean it will be cranky when the engine is cold.
BP6HS is the standard plug and should be fine. You might get a bit
more fouling with 7s than with 6s and maybe slightly more power.
I don't think you have put enough miles on the ones you have to show much.

A little more advance might give good results.

Normally valve seat recession is due to hard running and unleaded gas.
If your valve job included hard seats you probably won't have that problem
again.
