i mean, it's just a few conductors that electric pulses ride on, right? as long as the connectivity was good there shouldn't be any difference.

well apparently there is. did new wires as a "might as well" thing for a brake job. wasn't even looking out for any differences in engine department. but they jumped out at me. smoother idle right away. more responsive to gas pedal. more power get-go. dang. should've done this right after i bought the brick (although that was only about 1500 miles away).

moral of the story: change your plug wires.
