I don't understand your logic. Why don't you dismantle the master cylinder and replace the seals? You are going to too much trouble.

This is very odd. I really am getting a bad impression. With what evidence did you come to this conclusion? My 1977 264 has the original cylinder and it works great. Yours is MUCH newer and you seem to have problems.

There is no lack of awe in my interpretation of your problem. I think that there is nothing wrong with the car, there is something wrong with the ...

You need to take a "brake" and read this manual, reattach the parts, construct a power bleeder, and flush the entire system.
