Glove Comp door latch 200 1990

anyone found an easy/long term fix to the glove comp door falling open, - - happens on any road bump greater than the very minor ones. I'm thinking of shimms under the strike plate or ?? - - what have others done? The space between the door upper edge and the compartment upper frame is quite large. I've probably been carrying too much weight in there. and deformed it while using the after market divider for my glove box. The one from IDP in Oregon. A nice convenience but an invitation to over-load. Now with this door trouble, it's been removed. Door falling open problem remains. Thanks for taking the time to reply. floribunda NJ 240 lover
