Opinion free...

• Cam sprocket roll pin sheared? Crank-to-Cam timing will look good (have you checked this?). Sprocket may/will still turn camshaft, but valve timing will be off.
[Don't know about turbo cam but non-turbo M cam will have #1 lobe pointing inboard and upward about 30°, with #2 pointing outboard almost horizontally.

• Intermittent loss of EZK timing pulses to LH ECU? (LH dead or shuts down). One solid case here on a '91 Regina (same harness as Bosch–chafed wire from EZK, under dash).

• If you suspect the CPS bracket, they are only $16.64 from Tasca Volvo. (Scroll down to search box 2. Part # 3507510-0
